organic farm

Does anyone know the name of the farm where John and Kate plus eight bought their organic beef?

I’m trying to find the farm where they bought their organic beef. I remember visiting the website when I was watching the show and now I can’t remember the name. Does anyone know it?

sorry dont know the answer but you can google organic beef and see what you get

do you think eating organic & farm raised animals is OK?

If you are a vegetarian because you don’t like how mass produced factory animals are raised. i.e. crowded indoor pens/the food there fed. Are organic raised animals better? At least they get a "nice life on the farm"? If your going to eat meat, organic/farm raised is the way to go?

Visit the farm yourself to see if they are really being treated all that well. Also remember what happens to the animals if they are transported before slaughter. Many are put in non-temperature-controlled trucks and driven through extreme weather conditions. There are reports of pigs freezing to the sides of the trucks and cattle dying from heat stroke.

Does anybody know of an organic farm I could work on this summer in California?

Hello. I am a 17 year old girl. I’m really interested in environmentalism, and sustainability, and all that. I also desperately want to get out West.  Last summer I worked on a communal farm in Vermont for four weeks, but they don’t have any contacts out West. I was wondering if there were any similar programs in California? You can email me with info if you want too.
Peace.

Yes indeed. He treats it with a brand of fertiliser called ‘Troll Basher Droppings’ and it grows wonderfully well.

Do you have an organic farm?

How is your produce different from produce grown using pesticides and other methods. Do you sell directly to the public? Is it possible to visit your farm?
If you don’t have an organic farm please do not answer this question. I need to hear from people WHO DO! Thanks…
I’m in the USA. If you have an organic farm I can visit, no matter what State, please let me know. Thanks!
I live in Maine!! = )

Yes I do have an organic farm. I donot use any chemical of any kind in my garden and in my house. I use homemade cleaners for my house, organic homemade bug spray. I have a large compost pile which I use to fertilize my garden, along with the chicken poo from my girls. I grow ehough food to can up for us to live on for the year, and rarely do I have anough to sell to others. We are a small farm, 15 acres, most of which is pasture. I only grow on 2 acres, which includes my orchard. I use organic mulch for my flower beds…ie. ground up leaves and such.

Sorry, but no visitors to our farm. We are a private farm.

Sorry that you got so many non-answers. Do you live on the east coast? I am in New England.

Describe the life of a chicken on an organic and non organic chicken farm?

Is there a difference?
Whats their (chickens) daily life?

Organic are better fed and are usually allowed to be running around, non organic mostly thousands of chickens jammed in a shed where they can’t move they eat, drink and crap in the same place.

How much nitrogen is in Fox Farm Organic Soil?

Can you please tell me how much percent of nitrogen is in it. It has a picture of fish on the bag

I think it’s FarmFox, but anyway soil in general does not have nitrogen in it, unless there is added fertilizer. If it did, it would say so on the bag. Nitrogen is usually added via fertilizer/plant food, along with Phosphorus and Potassium (NPK listed as something like 10-10-10 or other ratios).
