homely vegetarian food in and around ramamurthy nagar bangalore?

Hi,
I moved in to ramamurthy nagar recently. Iam trying to find out whether any mess or home made vegetarian food or hotel is available in that area. Since roads are bad, searching has been difficult. If anybody could deliver at home, thats also welcome. Pls help.

hey I used to live in ramamurthy nagar… not too much choice there I’m afraid… but if you want home delivery…. Tamarind. There is also this small shack (looks dodgy) run by a UP gentleman inside ramamurthy nagar … (beyond fabmall..keep going straight and it’ll be on your right) which serves amazing chole bhature and puri aloo .. n home delivery though, you’ll have to pick it up.

we’ve lived there for 2 years and a lot of the food places nearby aren’t great.

Are there any good places to find fair trade products that AREN’T organic?

I think the philosophy behind fair trade is worth spending extra money for, but I do not support the organic food movement and don’t want to buy organic products. Do products like this exist?
I read more about the Fairtrade organization in the link you provided, and you’re right; the organic principles are built into the labeling procedure. I don’t think what I’m looking for exists. Thanks for your help.

There may be but you see organic farming practices because synthetic pesticides are not allowed is a big worker plus (much less exposure to toxins) and if you are going to be prohibited from using most insecticides and fungicides you might as well get your farm certified organic as well as Fair Trade. The two philosophy’s are very close and because of that I don’t quite see how you can hate organic farming but be for Fair Trade, unless you don’t really under stand what organic farming is really about

Do the companies that sell organic milk butcher cows?

I am a vegetarian, meaning I eat plant based products and milk. I heard about how the milk industry mistreat cows and so started using organic dairy products. However I want to know if the cows that are certified to give organic milk, are they allow to die a natural death or are they butchred for meat well before their natural lifespan like most non-organic cows.

So do the companies that sell organic milk, buther cows or allow them to die naturally?

Yeah, once they get old enough, 4 or so, they sell them to slaughter. Don’t drink milk man, it is for baby cows, not people. It has blood and puss in it…………just buy rice dream or almond milk, so much better anyways, you know?

what are the chemicals and other substances involved in Organic Pesticide? (i heard you need up to use much more of it since its inefficient, so its worse sort of.)

What are the effects of Organic Farming on the environment? (i heard it takes up more land, so more destruction of forests is required)

Is organic food healthier? (i heard its genetically the same as other foods, and some say it has more nutrition while other studies say it doesnt)

1) One of the major points of organic farming is to cut down on the rampant use of pesticide and fertilizer. They do not use any synthetic chemicals for pest/fert, and thus use stuff like ladybugs to kill pests and rotting fish to fertilize the land.

2) You use up more land per unit of production, but you don’t destroy forests to make more land. There’s plenty of arable space left unfarmed in the USA and other "organic conscious" countries. In addition, organic farms leave the ecosystem in much better shape since the plants there are more diverse.

3) organic food is genetically the same, but we have no conclusive evidence for or against the nutrition claims. However, they have noticeably less pesticide, which can be a plus in your "is this food healthier" decision.

HR875 and S425 will make it illegal for people to grow their own food or have organic farms because it forces Americans and American Farmers to use genetically modified seeds and use Corporate backed pesticides.

If you read the actual bills you will find these are bills to enforce regulations upon large farms and processing plants and will not hinder back yard gardening nor small farmers selling unprocessed foods direct to their customers. It has nothing to do with abolishing the USDA organic program nor fining housewives for not using approved foods nor forcing America’s farmers to use GMO’s (the conventional guys are pretty close to 100% using these already so stay away from corn soy, canola, rice, beet sugar, papayas and cottonseed. There are no other GMO foods in commercial production…yet)

This has nothing to do with the Obama Administration and everything to do with the congress-i.e. The executive branch did not write this bill though Obama may sign the bill into law if it passes through the house and the Senate

The H1b or the H2a, people are telling me different versions and now I am confused. I want to hire Spanish speaking workers because I feel more comfortable with bilingual people than monolingual and I don’t want to jeopardize my new business. Thanks

The H-2A visa classification is for agricultural workers coming to the U.S. temporarily. If you have a farm, and the work is seasonal, it sounds like the H-2A classification would suit your needs.

The H-1B classification is for professionals, and it does not appear that you are describing professional workers. I suggest you do some research into the H-2A classification. If you download the instructions for form I-129, you might find your answer.

Well, I cannot answer your question exactly. There are a couple, but I don’t know their names. But, I do have other information you may find useful.

First, breast feed the baby as long as possible. Obviously not till 3 years old or something, cause that would be weird. Not sure if you are a mother, the father, friend, etc. The mother passes on her immunities to the baby, for one. Two, the mothers milk has the perfect amount of fats, vitamins, etc. organic baby food, while better then non organic, is nothing compared to mothers milk. In China, kids are dying because of imperfect formulas. Outside of the Melomean inside the milk.

Also, a couple months ago, the government in America passed a law that says "organic food can contain 75% GMO, (Genetically Modified Organisms), and still be called Organic."

My suggestion would be to grow your own vegetables and fruits, what you can, and make your own baby food. If you need milk, the mother has the best formula already. Any baby food, be it normal or organic, can’t compare to the mother’s milk.

Also, babies who are fed with the mothers milk will have 30% larger brains then kids that don’t. And since your brain grows only for a certain amount of years as a kid, 30% larger is awesome.

If you really want organic food, don’t go for big companies. The best bet to get close to organic is local farms and farmers markets.

We have this lab for chemistry and it asks to identify if its organic, natural, or chemical nature. What exactly does this mean?

Organic, in chemical terms, means it has carbon hydrogen & oxygen bonds. It is not the Organic that you would think of when referring to food. Natural, I think, means it comes from an animal or plant source. And chemical would be everything else, like mineral or plastic.

I decided to make all of my baby’s food natural by baking & pureeing his fruits & veggies. Seems like the applesauce has too much of a tart taste to it. He’s refusing to eat it. He used to eat Gerber applesauce with no problem. Thanks!
